Basketball Recap: Olympic Heights Piles Up the Points Against St. Joseph Academy

Olympic Heights picked up another tournament win on Friday. They blew past the St. Joseph Academy Flashes 85-40. That 45 point margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Olympic Heights had a senior duo take command as Sebastian Kamalzadeh went 9 for 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points and Jake Harbatkin went 10 of 12 en route to 23 points in addition to five boards and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kamalzadeh has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Wigodner, who posted seven points.

Olympic Heights was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Olympic Heights is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for St. Joseph Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Olympic Heights Lions face off against the Port St. Lucie Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Olympic Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.5 points per game this season. As for St. Joseph Academy, they and Lake Mary will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. St. Joseph Academy is facing Lake Mary at the right time seeing as Lake Mary is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
