Bishop Foley and Everest Collegiate are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Ventures will be playing in front of their home fans against Everest Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Tuesday, Bishop Foley made easy work of Our Lady of the Lakes and carried off a 12-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ventures.

Mason Kanar was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Bishop Foley: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Kanar was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cooper Dolot was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He also got two hits, marking his first of the season. Tyler Vogel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Bishop Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Everest Collegiate had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Cranbrook Kingswood 14-5 on April 3rd. Everest Collegiate not only won on April 3rd, but they posted their biggest win since April 18, 2024 (when they won 15-0).
Bishop Foley pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Everest Collegiate, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Bishop Foley beat Everest Collegiate 7-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Ventures repeat their success, or do Everest Collegiate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
