Trumbull's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Fairfield Prep on Thursday. Everything went the Eagles' way against the Danbury Hatters as they made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Trumbull's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Danbury, Notre Dame Prep, and Notre Dame Prep. As for the Hatters, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Trumbull is taking a road trip to square off against Notre Dame Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Danbury, they will take on Ludlowe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hatters' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
