Baseball Recap: St. John Paul II Wins Going Away Against Rickards

After only two runs in their last contest, St. John Paul II made sure to put some runs up on the board against Rickards on Tuesday. Everything went the St. John Paul II Panthers' way against the Rickards Raiders as the St. John Paul II Panthers made off with a 15-3 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Mason Avant and Javi Santana did most of the damage at the plate: Avant scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Santana scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Santana a new career-high in hits (four). Another player making a difference was Wyatt Visnovske, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

St. John Paul II's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rickards, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, St. John Paul II will take on North Florida Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rickards, they will face off against Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rickards is facing Gadsden County at the right time seeing as Gadsden County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
