Troy Williams and Greg Clark provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Carson. The longest such play in Marine this season, the connection resulted in 69 yards.
Narbonne extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Colts, 26-20. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Gauchos.
Narbonne's dynamic duo of Williams and Clark proved tough for Carson to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Williams threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns and Clark had 75 yards receiving. A.J. Richardson helped Narbonne's passing attack out by catching five balls for 73 yards.
Tyree Simmons was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 103 yards on 13 carries as Gardena bested Jimmy Nolan's team. Marshon Newsome also contributed to the rushing game with six yards on the ground.
The Gauchos' Williams and Richardson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Marine in both passing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 1060 yards this season, while Richardson, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 21 catches for 337 yards. The Panthers' Simmons leads the league in rushing yards with 702.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Banning takes on Narbonne. At the moment, the Pilots are in fifth, while the Gauchos are in first.
Banning moved up to 450 from 489 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tim McTyer's team was able to make the jump by beating George Washington Prep 14-13.
