The Southern Columbia Area Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the North Penn-Mansfield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Southern Columbia Area will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Southern Columbia Area put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 55-6 victory over Shikellamy. Given Southern Columbia Area's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Shikellamy is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Southern Columbia Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Garrett Garcia, who rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. Garcia's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Louden Murphy was another key contributor, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, North Penn-Mansfield strolled past Wellsboro with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 21-6. The victory was just what North Penn-Mansfield needed coming off of a 37-16 loss in their prior game.
Cale Wagner was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also picked up 53 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Karson Dominick, who threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was North Penn-Mansfield's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Wellsboro's QB won't forget Ethan Dick anytime soon given Dick sacked him four times.
Their wins bumped Southern Columbia Area to 9-1 and North Penn-Mansfield to 4-6.

It's a different story for North Penn-Mansfield, though, as they've been averaging only 221.1 per game.
