Bellaire's Chase Small rumbled for the longest rushing play in Bridge (8 Man) this season in his game against Merritt Academy last week. Small's team bested the Mighty Mustangs as he sprinted for 51 yards on the play and finished with 139 in all.
Cedarville and Posen played the most contested game in the league this week, with Cedarville eventually emerging with a 42-40 victory.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Superior Central's Josh Herndon and Josh Herndon have proven to be a lethal combination. Bellaire's Small leads the league in rushing yards with 139.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Cougars' Herndon goes up against Brock Robinson's team's Hayden Niepoth.
Next week's game between Superior Central and the Eagles will feature an aerial matchup as Herndon tests his arm against Niepoth's defensive ability.
A big matchup in Bridge (8 Man) this week will be when Bellaire takes on Chris Messano's team. At the moment, the Eagles are in fourth, while the Cougars are in first.
Bellaire took down Merritt Academy 78-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Small during the win.
