It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Bladen had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Farmville Central Jaguars, sneaking past 68-66. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their 20th in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Bladen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Williams, who posted 18 points. The game was Williams' fifth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Pait, who put up 17 points.
West Bladen pushed their record up to 27-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points on average over those games. As for Farmville Central, their defeat ended a 32-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-5.
