The Robinson Bulldogs came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 68-31 win over East Rowan at home. Considering Robinson has won three matches by more than 36 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Robinson was led to victory by Camri Hobbs and Ella Hobbs. Hobbs scored 23 points, while Hobbs dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Hobbs has scored at least 25% of Robinson's points. Another player making a difference was Li'Ara Batts, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for East Rowan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robinson will be home for the holidays to greet Northwest Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Rowan will be home for the holidays to greet South Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Rowan is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
