Even though the Estill County Engineers scored an imposing 80 points on Tuesday, the Wolfe County Wolves still came out on top. Wolfe County took their matchup against the Engineers 87-80. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wolfe County.
Wolfe County was led to victory by Caleb Creech and Corey Flinchum. Creech scored 27 points along with five rebounds, while Flinchum scored 26 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Creech hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. Brady Robinson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Wolfe County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Estill County, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.
Wolfe County will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Estill County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Owls / Lady Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Owsley County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Engineers are ranked 123rd).
