Tri-County is 2-8 against the Cardinals since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tri-County Mustangs will be playing at home against the Mercer Cardinals at 7:30 p.m.
Last Friday, Tri-County came up short against the Shamrocks and fell 49-39.
Even though Mercer has not done well against the Red Birds recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Mercer sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 victory over the Red Birds.
Tri-County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mercer, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6.
