The Woodside Wildcats will square off against the Aragon Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodside will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Woodside gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't give up any more after. They blew past Sequoia, posting a 42-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Woodside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Torres out in front who rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. The Wildcats also got a significant boost from Alex Valencia, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of JJ Lange, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Woodside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Isaac Pech, Kolby Nelson, Lange, and Henry Schwab picked up one apiece. Pech is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, Aragon was not quite Half Moon Bay's equal in the second half on Thursday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 41-20.
Woodside will have to keep a close watch on Isaiah Johnson and Nick Castroviejo, a pair of players who had a big impact on Aragon's prior game. Johnson threw for 304 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt, while Castroviejo picked up 157 receiving yards and one score. Johnson's passing game has become a key predictor of Aragon's success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
Woodside's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Aragon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Thursday's game might be decided in the trenches. Woodside has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 239.8 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Aragon, though, as they've been averaging only 87.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Woodside was dealt a bruising 41-7 defeat at the hands of Aragon in their previous matchup back in September of 2021. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Solomone Hokafonu (who rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also caught one TD) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
