After flying high against the Surry HomeSchool Runnin' Patriots last Tuesday, the State Line HomeSchool R Rush came back down to earth. State Line HomeSchool R fell 68-55 to Virginia Episcopal School on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Virginia Episcopal School was led to victory by Kyraha Parnell and Sasha Brody. Parnell scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Brody scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Parnell is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniyah Ford, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
State Line HomeSchool R dropped their record down to 13-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. State Line HomeSchool R will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Forsyth Home Educators at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Chatham Hall at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Virginia Episcopal School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 269 points over their last four contests.
