Covenant Academy lost against the Trinity Christian Crusaders last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Covenant Academy had to suffer through a rough 74-24 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Covenant Academy has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Covenant Academy saw an underclassman step up: Blake Bartow scored 11 points along with two steals.
Covenant Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Academy will challenge the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Twiggs Academy has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Trinity Christian, they and the Trojans will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Georgia (Tattnall Square Academy is ranked 235th, while the Crusaders are ranked 227th).
