Shead took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Schenck, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers skirted past the Wolverines 9-8. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Shead's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Schenck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shead will host Calais at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Schenck, they will welcome Greenville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.83 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of.
