Last Friday, Far Northeast W took a serious blow against Ponderosa, falling 49-7. While losing is never fun, Far Northeast W can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Ponderosa is ranked 29th).
Kylan Jones put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Jones was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 63 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Denver South to victory, but perhaps none more so than Orlando Guevara, who picked up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Chevelle Early and his 122 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Denver South's victory.
Far Northeast W's loss was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Denver South has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
