The Ridgeview Christian Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grace Christian Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Ridgeview Christian has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Grace Christian will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Friday, Ridgeview Christian came up short against Regents and fell 46-37.
In what's become a running theme this season, Grace Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Grace Christian School for the full four quarters, racking up a 47-14 victory on the road. Given Grace Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Grace Christian School is ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grace Christian relied on the efforts of Aubrey Greenmun, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, and Lucy Wells, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Graycie Kincheloe, who scored nine points.
Ridgeview Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Grace Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Ridgeview Christian beat Grace Christian 36-29 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Ridgeview Christian repeat their success, or does Grace Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
