The American History Bald Eagles were the 64-51 winner over the McNair Academic Cougars when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. American History took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars on Friday. American History has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Bald Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Edgar De Los Santos, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
American History has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for McNair Academic, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American History's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bengals at 11:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Bloomfield is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for McNair Academic, they and the Generals will face off on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. University Academy Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Cougars are ranked 204th).
