Prairie Heights' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily McCrea, who posted six points and eight rebounds. McCrea is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Churubusco to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bridget Timbrook, who had nine points along with eight assists and six rebounds. That's the most boards Timbrook has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jessica Price, who scored nine points and five rebounds.
Prairie Heights has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Churubusco, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.
Prairie Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Churubusco, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-18 loss against Eastside on the 8th.
