The Green Mountain Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Dakota Ridge Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Green Mountain posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 76-38 victory over Standley Lake on the road. With Green Mountain ahead 41-21 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
It was another big night for Austin Beeson, who scored 18 points along with eight assists. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Simon Lunsford was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Dakota Ridge took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 74-34 victory over Conifer. Given Dakota Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while Conifer is ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win got Green Mountain back to even at 6-6. As for Dakota Ridge, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Green Mountain came up short against Dakota Ridge in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 71-62. Can Green Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
