Geneva will square off against Wicksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Geneva will be strutting in after a win while Wicksburg will be coming in after a defeat.
Geneva is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Slocomb on Thursday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Jacob Rose made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Juddson Wise was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Brady Cox was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Geneva always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wicksburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-4 to Pike Road.
Seth Williams and Grant Calhoun did some serious damage despite the final result: Williams got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Calhoun went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double was Williams' first of the season.
The win got Geneva back to even at 2-2. As for Wicksburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Geneva couldn't quite get it done against Wicksburg when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can Geneva avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
