Given Sunrise Christian Academy Silver's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while St. Mary's Academy is ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marko Pavlovic continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Tomohito Kobari, who scored six points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, St. Mary's Academy still got an impressive performance from Nick Whitehead, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Whitehead has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Andrew Moats was another key contributor, scoring three points.
Sunrise Christian Academy Silver is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for St. Mary's Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

As for St. Mary's Academy, they will be playing at home against Lincoln HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matches -- so hopefully St. Mary's Academy likes a good challenge.
