In what's become a running theme this season, the Jackson Jaguars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Banneker with a sharp 63-43 victory. The victory was nothing new for Jackson as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Jackson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shakira Gresham, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Gresham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedie Cooper, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Jackson's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. As for Banneker, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Jackson will head out on the road to square off against Chapel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Jackson is ranked 15th). As for Banneker, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mays at 6:00 p.m.
