The Eastern Alamance Eagles can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Southern Alamance as Eastern Alamance made off with a 66-45 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Eastern Alamance who now have five in a row.
Eastern Alamance found their leader in underclassman Makayla Scott, who scored 16 points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Scott scored 15 or more points. Ayanna Garner was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Loss or not, Southern Alamance got some senior leadership from Sunny Yarnell and Morgan Isley. Yarnell scored 18 points, while Isley. scored 17 points. Yarnell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Eastern Alamance is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Southern Alamance, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Eastern Alamance will head out on the road to take on Orange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orange has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Southern Alamance, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Western Alamance at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Western Alamance's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
