The Bloomfield Christian School Defenders were the  45-44 winner over Bethany Christian when they last played one another  back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Bloomfield Christian School took a  56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bethany Christian on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bloomfield Christian School came into the  match with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings  (they are ranked 124th, while Bethany Christian is ranked 281st).
 Bethany Christian got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Luca Halalau out in front who  scored 23 points along with six  assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Halalau has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Clayton Beachell, who  scored eight points along with 12  rebounds and nine  assists.
 Bloomfield Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Bethany Christian, the  victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield Christian School and Washtenaw Christian Academy will face off  at 7:00  p.m.  on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Washtenaw Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Bethany Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 12:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
