Ramah (N.M.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 18-0 victory over
Tohatchi (N.M.) on Saturday.
The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at zero. The Mustangs took the lead for good on a touchdown run by
Tyrell Daniels with 6:00 left in the third quarter.
Ramah's most effective player was Daniels. The senior ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.
RHS had given up an average of 13.9 points prior to the contest. The Cougars' zero points were well below their season average of 31.4 per game.
A 40-0 Ramah victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
Ramah (7-1) will play a 2A District 1 game against Zuni next week, while Tohatchi (5-3) will take on Crownpoint also in a 2A District 1 game.
