Le Mars will challenge Carlisle on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Le Mars, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Le Mars had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 20-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sioux Center.
Meanwhile, Carlisle took care of business in their home opener. They snuck past Winterset with a 25-20 win.
Carlisle's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Le Mars's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Carlisle can add another positive mark to their record or if Le Mars can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Carlisle's step.
