The Wichita County Indians put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They beat South Gray by the very same score they won with last week: 64-0. Fans of Wichita County have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Wyatt Gardner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 147 yards and four touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Colton Harbin was another key contributor, picking up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Wichita County's victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Wheatland-Grinnell and 1-8 St. John (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 42.5% over those games). As for South Gray, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Wichita County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Gray is also done with their season.
