Palmer is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since April 10th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Commerce, sneaking past 15-13.
Palmer got a massive performance out of Jayda Pardo, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna King, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Chicopee Comp beat Commerce 9-4 on Monday.
The team relied heavily on Marissa Vasquez, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. Alexis Wojcik was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Chicopee Comp is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Palmer, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Chicopee Comp's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Palmer has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Chicopee Comp, though, as they've been averaging only 3.1 strikeouts. Will Palmer keep running through batters, or will the Colts buck the trend?
