The Dixie County Bears waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Bell by a score of 38-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dixie County also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lindsey Collett, who scored eight points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Smith, who scored nine points along with four steals.
The win got Dixie County back to even at 4-4. As for Bell, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Dixie County will be playing at home against Branford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Branford and Dixie County are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Bell, they will head out on the road to take on Riverside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
