The Berlin Redcoats will head out on the road to face off against the Hartford Public Owls at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Berlin couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Glastonbury by a score of 45-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Berlin in their matchups with Glastonbury: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Hartford Public's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 52-41 to Tolland.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Eric Guy, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyreke Malone , who scored ten points.
Berlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Hartford Public, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1.
Berlin strolled past Hartford Public in their previous meeting back in February of 2019 by a score of 75-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berlin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
