Millbury and Grafton are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Millbury Woolies will head out on the road to face off against the Grafton Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Massachusetts (Millbury is ranked 39th, while Grafton is ranked 34th).
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Millbury beat Malden Catholic 49-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Millbury.
Kenny Donnelly continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Millbury's points. Jimmer Donnelly was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Grafton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Shrewsbury on Monday, but they still walked away with a 53-49 win. The victory was just what Grafton needed coming off of a 71-51 defeat in their prior game.
Millbury has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Grafton, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
Millbury strolled past Grafton when the teams last played back in January by a score of 66-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millbury since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
