Norfolk Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jalen Freeman, who scored 11 points, and Vann Baggett who scored five points.
Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Pissis, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashton Walker, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Norfolk Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Catholic, their victory was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-7.
Norfolk Christian will take on Cape Henry Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Norfolk Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday. As for Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Hampton Roads Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Catholic is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hampton Roads Academy in Virginia (Catholic is ranked 16th, while Hampton Roads Academy is ranked 258th).
