Weston is on a three-game streak of home wins, while North Crawford is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Silver Eagles will host the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Weston 3.6, North Crawford 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
North Crawford's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Weston hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. The Silver Eagles never let Kickapoo get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Thursday. The Silver Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Isaac Jennings and Trevor Westphal made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Jennings didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Westphal tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jennings has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Jennings went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Westphal went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Westphal a new career-high.
In other batting news, Weston let Gavin Kast and Hunter Coy run wild. Kast went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI, while Coy went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that Kast has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Garrett Jennings, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Weston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .684. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for North Crawford's offense. They lost 7-0 to De Soto on Thursday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
North Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Weston, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
Weston skirted past North Crawford 4-2 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Silver Eagles repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
