NCISAA Big East recap Oct. 3, 2012
Channing Kelly of Harrells Christian Academy ran for the longest rushing play in NCISAA Big East this season against Wake Christian Academy last week. Kelly scampered for 93 yards on the play and finished with 177 on the day as his team bested the Bulldogs.
North Raleigh Christian Academy took down Kestrel Heights 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. John Cook threw for 174 yards and six touchdowns in the win.
Tyler Crowther made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Knights topped the Hawks. The 5-foot-11 sophomore racked up two sacks.
Patrick Walker was the best wideout in the league this week as Harrells Christian Academy beat Wake Christian Academy. Walker racked up two receptions for 60 yards.
North Raleigh Christian Academy's Cook and Charlie Davisson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cook has thrown for 1175 yards this season, while Davisson, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 17 catches for 470 yards. Brian Aldridge's team's Russell Washington leads the league in rushing yards with 1112.
