North East has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Cambridge Springs Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North East is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cambridge Springs in Pennsylvania (North East is ranked 71st, while Cambridge Springs is ranked 430th).
North East pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Harbor Creek by a score of 61-58. North East has struggled against Harbor Creek recently, as their contest on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Cambridge Springs might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Fort LeBoeuf an easy 63-39 win. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cambridge Springs has scored all season.
North East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Cambridge Springs, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
North East won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2022, slipping by Cambridge Springs 52-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for North East since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
