The Boulder Panthers will square off against the Stargate School Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stargate School took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Boulder, who comes in off a win.
Boulder took a loss when they played away from home back in February, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Wednesday. They put the hurt on Pomona with a sharp 3-0 victory. Boulder not only won last Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 16, 2024.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Boulder was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-12, 25-15.
Boulder got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jarin Delaney out in front who had four digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Trevor Gale, who had 21 assists.
Delaney wasn't the only good server: Boulder was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pomona only three aces.
Meanwhile, Stargate School came up short against Arvada West on Friday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
The final score came out to 25-15, 18-25, 25-14, 25-16.
Boulder's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1. As for Stargate School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Boulder came out on top in a nail-biter against Stargate School in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will Boulder repeat their success, or does Stargate School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
