The Rock Bridge Bruins were the 86-68 winner over the Central Blue Eagles when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Rock Bridge was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 58-57 to Central. Rock Bridge has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Moore out in front who scored 15 points along with four steals. Moore has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tim Wooden, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Rock Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Central, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Bridge is on the road again on Saturday and plays Hillsboro at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th. As for Central, they will challenge Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland Park will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Central surely won't give up without a fight.
