Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Newman walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Episcopal of Acadiana Falcons with a sharp 6-1 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Greenies have won 17 matches by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those five games. As for Episcopal of Acadiana, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Newman will challenge Calvary Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Newman's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Calvary Baptist Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. Episcopal of Acadiana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
