After nine games on the road, Liberty Ranch is heading back home. They will take on the Golden Valley Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1109th, while Golden Valley is ranked 284th).
Last Saturday, Liberty Ranch's game was all tied up 18-18 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against McNair by a score of 47-40.
Among those leading the charge was Andrew Cadiz, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Liberty Ranch's points. Yousef Diab was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, Golden Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Venture Academy.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 2-8.
Everything went Liberty Ranch's way against Golden Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Liberty Ranch made off with a 63-39 win. Will Liberty Ranch repeat their success, or does Golden Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
