Given Morgan Township's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Kouts is ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Morgan Township's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Wheeler, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Keagen Holder was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Morgan Township's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Kouts, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Morgan Township didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-45 win vs. Washington Township on the 10th. Kouts is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Hanover Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
