The Napa Grizzlies's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 47-43 victory over Vintage. The win was just what Napa needed coming off of a 71-46 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Napa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Mindle, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Mindle pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Williams, who scored 15 points.
Vintage's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Hearn, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Marroquin, who scored ten points.
Napa's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Vintage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Napa will challenge Mt. Eden at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vintage, they will head out on the road to face off against American Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. American Canyon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
