Flagstaff extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 14-6-1 in the process. They blew past the Prescott Badgers 15-7. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by eight runs or more this season.

Cailee Culwell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Culwell was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ryleigh Alex was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Alex, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Flagstaff kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

As for Prescott, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 13, 2023, but that streak is no more.

On Prescott's side, Mariah Smolnikar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that Smolnikar has launched this season. Lilly James was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Coming up, Flagstaff will take on Verrado in a tournament on Friday. As for Prescott, they will venture away from home to face off against Crismon at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers will need to watch out since the Rattlers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
