The Eden/North Collins Raiders will challenge the Southwestern Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eden/North Collins comes in on five and Southwestern on nine.
Eden/North Collins is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They strolled past Portville/Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale Central with points to spare, taking the game 43-28. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Raiders were the (much) better team in the second half.

Brady Waring had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 264 yards and five TDs while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 93 yards and one score on only 12 carries. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Eden/North Collins' leading receiver Silas Nellis was Waring's top target yet again, picking up 145 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Southwestern on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Medina out of the water with a 48-7 final score. Considering the Trojans have won eight matchups by more than 19 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Southwestern's win came from a few key players Eden/North Collins will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trent Lewis, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries, and also threw for 122 yards and one TD while completing 83.3% of his passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Bradyn Fuller, who rushed for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Southwestern was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 292 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 266 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.
Eden/North Collins' record now sits at 8-1. As for Southwestern, their record is now 9-0.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's game: Eden/North Collins has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 267.8 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Southwestern, though, as they've been averaging only 81.5 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Eden/North Collins might still be hurting after the 48-28 loss they got from Southwestern in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Raiders were down 34-8.
