The Cimarron-Memorial Spartans lost to the Cheyenne Desert Shields back in February of 2023, but the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans didn't allow the Cheyenne Desert Shields the same satisfaction on Monday. Cimarron-Memorial enjoyed a cozy 66-52 win over Cheyenne.
Gerald Patterson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Daniel Brown, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Cheyenne still got an impressive performance from Cordae Feazell, who scored 23 points.
Cimarron-Memorial pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cheyenne, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron-Memorial will take on Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Chaparral focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Wednesday. As for Cheyenne, they will play host again and welcome Somerset Academy Losee, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset Academy Losee is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
