Kyleigh Walker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Kara Salmon was a standout: she scored a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Zigler, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Terre Haute North Vigo hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Decatur Central struck out six times.

The victory got Terre Haute North Vigo back to even at 1-1. As for Decatur Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
