Catonsville is 4-0 against Dundalk since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Catonsville Comets will be playing at home against the Dundalk Owls at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Catonsville is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Maryland (they are ranked 104th, while Dundalk is ranked 234th).
Last Wednesday, everything went Catonsville's way against Eastern Tech as Catonsville made off with a 33-13 win.
Meanwhile, Dundalk's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. The game between them and Milford Mill Academy wasn't particularly close, with Dundalk falling 59-43. Dundalk has struggled against Milford Mill Academy recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Keiara Barnes, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Justice Smith was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Catonsville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Dundalk, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
Everything came up roses for Catonsville against Dundalk when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 55-22 victory. Does Catonsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dundalk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
