West Memphis Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. As for North Delta, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Maxx Hinton and Gabe Carlisle. Hinton gained 139 total yards and two touchdowns while Carlisle rushed for 146 yards on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Carlisle has posted since back in August of 2024. Jameson Gentry was in the mix too, providing North Delta with two TDs.
Looking ahead, West Memphis Christian will challenge Strayhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Delta, they will face off against Central Hinds Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
