The North Andrew Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop LeBlond Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Andrew is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, North Andrew earned a 49-36 win over Worth County. That 49-36 margin sets a new team best for North Andrew this season.
Meanwhile, Bishop LeBlond escaped with a win on Monday against West Platte by the margin of a single free throw, 36-35. Given Bishop LeBlond's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while West Platte is ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Andrew now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bishop LeBlond, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
North Andrew ended up a good deal behind Bishop LeBlond when the teams last played back in December of 2022, losing 38-21. Can North Andrew avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
