Blanche Ely won the last time they faced Cypress Bay and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blanche Ely Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cypress Bay Lightning 59-20. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Cypress Bay saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tessa Fairley posted seven points. That's the most points Fairley has posted since back in December of 2024.

Blanche Ely pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 49.7 points. As for Cypress Bay, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 16-5 record.

Blanche Ely won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Thomas Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blanche Ely's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so St. Thomas Aquinas' offense will have their work cut out for them. Cypress Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
